The White House has commemorated the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, honouring the 2,977 people who were killed in the attacks.

The White House, in a post on X on Friday, said a quarter of a century had passed since the attacks “shattered” the peace of the United States.

“A quarter of a century has passed since September 11, 2001, when the peace of our Nation was shattered by terrorists,” the White House said.
